Nation's Attic Diving Into History Auction 2025 + More
Lot 142:
Description
This is an impressive Soviet Navy deck watch. This watch is housed in a wood case that opens in two sections. These watches were made by Poljot in Moscow from the parts and designs of the A. Lange & Sohn factory in Glasshutte, Germany at the end of World War 2. The pocket watch-sized instrument is a manual-wind mechanical watch. The movement is 23k gold-plated to prevent saltwater corrosion. The watch is 53mm in diameter and 12mm thick, with 42-hour power reserve and chronometer certification. It is running, but we can not guarantee its function.
