Nation's Attic 2024 Diving Into History
Lot 61:
Description
This is a seldom-seen Widolf full-face scuba mask. This example is cast from bronze and quite heavy, weighing approximately 12 pounds. The round window measures 6.5 inches in diameter. Originally there was a rubber section attached that fit against the face. These brass and bronze frame free-flow masks of the 1950-60s were the end of the era for this style, which was replaced by the lightweight Kirby Morgan band masks.
