Estimated price: $750 - $1,250

Buyer's premium:

This is a very handsome 19th-century English barometer. This example is a wall mounted model with a gimbal to keep it upright in all conditions. The body is made of rosewood with brass hardware and a glass barometer. It measures approximately 40 inches long. The mercury appears to still be present in both gauges. Overall the rosewood is in good condition. The wood trim along the right edge of the top gauge is currently held on with tape. Considering the age and use this went through, it is in impressive condition.
