Description
Black Horse of the Sea, by Robert MacMillen. A much sought-after large-format book on the Merritt-Chapman & Scott Corporation, 1929 first edition in clean hard-bound cover. 40 pages with numerous B&W photos. Contains salvage derricks, shipwrecks, port construction, burning metals underwater, and the famous group photo of the divers with their helmets on. The paper and photo reproduction are of a very high quality considering the year of publication, but reflect the standards of the company. Some wear at the upper spine, slight toning on the front and back cover, interior pages clean with only minimal signs of age and use.
