This is an authentic decommissioned US Navy Mark 12 diving helmet. The Mark 12 was the predecessor to the famed Mark V. Made by Morse Diving Equipment, this is a relatively early example from March 1979, serial #0183. The helmet has been part of a lot of adventures and was eventually made unusable by the USN by bending in neck ring. The helmet has not been cleaned up and is in as found condition. Please refer to the photos for additional condition specifics.

All diving helmets in this auction will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Nations Attic. The certificate will have a unique number that will match the number on a tamperproof hologram decal placed inside the helmet. This information will be kept on permanent file at Nations Attic and help ensure the provenance of the helmet and authenticity.
