For your consideration is this United States Navy dive knife with a historic engraving present. The brass sheath features the following: U.S.N NU-SUB NAUTILUS 123. The USS Nautilus was the first nuclear-powered submarine commissioned in 1955. The Navy did equip submarines with dive knives, and it is quite possible this knife was onboard the vessel. The knife is in like new condition with no manufacturer’s names on the sheath or knife itself. This piece has been part of a private collection for decades.
