Nation's Attic 2024 Diving Into History
Lot 155:
This is an antique dive knife likely made by Siebe Gorman & Co. This example features a very dark brown Bakelite or possibly wood handle with brass hardware and a stainless steel blade. The blade is narrower than most examples we have handed and has not been modified. The blade shows signs of light use and age with numerous small imperfections on both sides of the blade along with evidence of it being taken in and out of the friction brass sheath. Likely due to age, the knife is a bit loose when inside the sheath. The blade measures 7.5625 inches long and has an overall length of 13 inches. The brass sheath is in good original condition with a consistent patina. The knife in total weighs 1 pound 7 ounces. Please refer to the photos for additional details. International bidders are advised that some countries do not allow the importation of knives. Nations Attic is not responsible for shipping charges going or coming back if your country’s customs denies delivery. Rejected items can be consigned into a future sale as there are no refunds.
