A high-end, faithful, limited-edition reprint of the 1943 second edition of this exceptional classic book/manual by Herman Stelzner, the Director of Dragerwerks. This is expanded from the 1931 first edition, and published in Lubeck, Germany, during the height of World War II, and in the same year as the 1943 USN Diving Manual that introduced the Mark V Helium helmet and numerous upgrades and improvements. Siebe Gorman’s Robert Davis used parts of the contents of Stelzner’s book in his revised editions of Deep Diving & Submarine Operations. It covers the history of the development of diving equipment, developments in mixed gas diving, and has many photos of different helmets not published elsewhere. The text is in German. There is no English language edition. A faithful, hard bound, gold embossed, limited-edition reprint by NAUTIEK of Holland, of the hard-to-find original manual. Stamped serial number 006. NAUTIEK only published 100 copies, and all sold out swiftly, primarily in Europe. 404 pages.
