This is a vintage USN Mark V diving helmet air control valve. It is made of solid brass and was the first configuration used during the first half of the 20th century. In the 1916 US Navy diving manual, this style is shown in Plate VII. The valve is clearly stamped A. Schraders Son. Also included is a Schrader USA stamped non return valve, and a divers whip. If you have an early WW2 or older Mark V, this is the complete setup that goes from the air elbow to the bastard stud on the breastplate.
