Description
This is a World War 2 era US Navy Type J battery-powered battle lantern. The top is stamped 9-S5311-L and Type J-IS. This lantern is in its original, as-found condition. It measures 10 inches tall, 8 inches wide, and 4.5 inches deep. This piece was recovered alongside the AJ Morse & Son diving helmet, which is also featured in this auction as Lot #87. The helmet and equipment were owned and used by the O.I. Carr Diving Company of Burlington, Vermont. An exceptional opportunity to acquire a piece of Vermont’s maritime history.All items will be shipped with a signature required upon delivery and full insurance either via FedEx or the USPS Priority Mail.
