This rare diving helmet represents a unique era when the same engineering used for the X-15 rocket plane and the Gemini space program was adapted for deep-sea mixed gas exploration.Representing a fascinating chapter of late-1960s diving design, this David Clark helmet shell is offered in its original, unfinished state. The red fiberglass shell is "new old stock" and has never been drilled for components, and it features a temporary acrylic port. Most significantly, the helmet is still accompanied by its original two-piece fiberglass mold, which remains in excellent display condition.
